Job Description:
Creative Click Media is seeking a Webmaster/IT Manager. We develop and manage hundreds of websites. We need a skilled professional to oversee day-to-day site maintenance, consult on the development of new projects, and maintain long-term security for client websites.
Responsibilities:
~Regularly maintain all client websites (both front-ends and back-ends)
~Ensure website security through strong preventative & reactive protocols; enact an Incident Response Plan in the event of a compromise
~Work with our Design Team to:
~Implement code and achieve website deliverables
~Migrate new websites from development server to client hosts
~Work with Sales Team to define scope and budget for project proposals
~Work with SEM Team to operate analytics software & meet search engine standards
~Take the lead on ad hoc tech tasks from clients and CCM team members
~Manage all CCM internal tech issues (hardware & software)
~Work with Office Manager to invoice/track billable clients
~Accurately scope out proposals for maximum profitability
~Search for technical tools to aid the team and improve corporate efficiency
Basic Qualifications:
~Minimum 1-3 years experience working on web development-oriented projects
~Experience working with WordPress (or another CMS)
~Excellent problem-solving skills (this is crucial)
~Detail-oriented and resourceful (this is crucial)
~A strong understanding of CSS & HTML
~Experience using an FTP client (e.g. FileZilla)
~Ability to work well independently or within a group
Preferred Skills and Experience:
~Management experience with web development-oriented projects
~Competence with Javascript, PHP, and other OOP languages
~Competence with SQL queries, MySQL databases, and/or other database management
~Knowledge of eCommerce platforms (Woo, Volusion, Shopify, etc)
~Understanding & experience with DNS records, nameservers, & domain registrars
~Familiarity with Linux operating system, especially in a LAMP web server stack
~Understanding of Apache webserver & PHP initialization (.htaccess,
~Experience sending/receiving data to a third-party API (cURL, JSON, or otherwise)
~Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
~Has worked on/managed GSuite (&/or Office365) organizations
~Experience communicating with teammates and clients to:
~Define the scope of software projects
~Agree on acceptance criteria
~Establish and adhere to a schedule & budget
~Keep on stakeholders updated on the status of a project
