Things To Note Before Applying:

This is NOT an entry-level position. You MUST have at least 1 year of experience working for a remote employer handling email inquiries and prospecting for new B2B opportunities via email (however, we will also consider recent college graduates with strong written communication skills who are self-motivated to work independently and grow professionally).

We are looking for someone with extreme attention to detail who is passionate about cloud computing and technology sales (and/or who is open to learning). You must enjoy prospecting for, interfacing with, and qualifying prospective customers using a consultative, straight-line sales approach via chat and email. If you're looking for a slower role, this is NOT the role for you. This position will be challenging, but extremely rewarding both monetarily and professionally.

This can be either a part-time or full-time role. It's also remote, so you can work anywhere in the World. We communicate via email, chat, and phone.

Amazon Web Services is growing our Account Executive support team to help more companies make the move to AWS. This team supports sales and focuses on customers and prospects of all types in North America. As an Account Executive Support Representative, you will be paired with an Account Executive at AWS and have the exciting opportunity to partner with them in order to help prospective customers make the transformational move to AWS.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Your primary responsibilities will include using intelligent prospecting to identify, create, and qualify opportunities via email (Monday-Friday) and chat (periodically) using a consultative, straight-line sales approach. You will not need to speak with customers over the phone. You will be provided with email templates to help you prospect, but we encourage creativity if you would prefer to use the templates as a guide and then create your own. If the customer is interested in a follow-up meeting, you will then ensure that opportunities are handed off to your assigned Account Executive in a timely, customer-friendly manner by ensuring the opportunity is understood and schedule an initial meeting for the Account Executive and the customer. You will also be expected to send an email with the Salesforce links to all the customers you sent a prospecting email to on a given day (this can be completed at the end of the day).

2) You will also be expected to handle incoming customer inquiries via email (Monday-Friday) and chat (periodically). You will use a variety of online resources, tools, and training to help you answer incoming customer inquiries. In addition to answering customer inquiries via email (Monday-Friday) and chat (periodically), you will also be responsible for scheduling meetings between the Account Executive and the customers via email.

3) You will also be expected to send bi-monthly follow-up emails to all customer opportunities who are currently working with your assigned Account Executive to check-in on the project status and answer any follow-up questions they may have.

4) Last, but not least, you will be expected to engage in Salesforce data entry and complete written reports.

Must-Have Qualifications
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent listening skills
• Prior experience with Salesforce (or willingness to learn)
• At least 1 year of experience working for a remote employer (however, we will also consider recent college graduates with strong written communication skills who are self-motivated to work independently and grow professionally)
• Familiarity with AWS services (or willingness to learn)
• Experience in IT sales and/or technical background (or willingness to learn)
• Demonstrated ability to prospect for and manage customer relationships
• Ability to manage multiple incoming requests, while ensuring they are relayed or handled at the appropriate time, in the necessary order, and in the correct manner.
• Fast, reliable internet connection
• Experience using or knowledge of Google Apps
• Experience using or knowledge of Asana & Slack
• Ability to quickly learn new software applications
• Capability to come up with new systems and processes in order to help streamline your daily work functions
• Ability to quickly and efficiently solve problems
• Willingness and ability to continue following up with prospective customers
• Exceptional ability to communicate progress on multiple projects
• Must be highly organized and efficient
• Trustworthy with strong personal integrity
• Lateral-thinker who can proactively handle circumstances and situations to head off any crisis situations

Additional Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
• Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or beyond (or willingness to get certified)
• Skill at presenting, at a high level, a technical solution to prospects and customers relevant to their industry or target market
• Experience navigating prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities in a focused market space
• Knowledge to differentiate and understand various IT roles and responsibilities
• Record of success in an outbound sales or prospecting role in B2B environments, preferably in a solution-sales / technology-related environment
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing; understand and identify opportunities for customers
