We are a Toronto based online DIY publisher looking to hire a part-time Social Media Specialist | VA to join our friendly/positive team.

If you LOVE social media, have FUN creating social content, enjoy HELPING, and INSPIRING people while building a brand, we’d love to hear from you!

Excellent English skills, both spoken and written are a must as the bulk of this position will be creating social content, posts, FB & IG stories.

Reliable high-speed internet access is required.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist accompanied by current Social Media Trends is required.

Thorough knowledge of Facebook,??Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, marketing is a must.
Scheduling in Buffer and Later is preferred.

Some Photo editing experience with Photoshop, Canva, PicMonkey or other online photo editors is mandatory.


SKILLS:

Excellent Command of English Language - Writing and Speaking

Efficient at writing/creating engaging Facebook Posts and Stories
Able to write/create engaging Instagram Posts and Stories
Scheduling Posts in Buffer
Create Graphics in Canva and/or Photoshop
Buffer Scheduling for??Facebook, Instagram,??Twitter, and Pinterest
Blend in seamlessly with existing brand
Able to help build harmonious brand recognition through all social media outlets

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to all the skills required above, you may be

Ensuring Cohesive Branding across all social platforms
Building relationships with other Bloggers and Social Media Influencers
Responsible for Commenting and DM’ing
Developing and Scheduling Daily Content/Posts for all social media feeds
Interacting with existing audience and followers
Generating New Followers
Develop content for social media sharing
Connect with our brand's community through fan pages and groups
Researching Influencers
Collaborating with Influencers
Sending outreach emails and messages

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:

This is a part-time position starting at 10 hours/week with the potential to grow into more hours pending on performance.

Work From Home
Monday – Friday 
Salary $3-$3.25 USD per hour to start (Pending on Experience)
Paid Bi-Weekly
Sick/Vacation/Benefits (TBA)
Salary Review after 3 Months
