JOB OVERVIEW

Compudent Systems Inc. provides services to the dental and medical industries in Canada and the US, and has been doing so for 17 years. Services include web projects for various clients. A contract position is available for a Wordpress expert who will undertake various client driven tasks. Ongoing duties may then evolve, for the right candidate, into a long-term position.

Specific Skills:
• Wordpress Maintenance - Update core, themes and plugins
• Wordpress Theme Modification
• Content Management
• HTML5
• CSS3
• Basic Graphic Modifications
• Some Javascript
• Some PHP

Responsibilities:
- Understand client requirements
- Replicate content from existing static sites
- Content Management of websites - creating, updating or deleting content based on client requests
- Create basic images or other graphical images to insert into websites
- Modify existing themes to suit client requirements
- Ensure Wordpress and all themes and plugins are up to date.
- Evaluate and action web security issues at websites (Malware, spam and virus removal)
- Wordpress site migrations

We also require:
• Mastery of the English language – You must be very fluent, write and speak clearly, and have the ability to communicate via email and Skype as required.
• Excellent Internet access – minimal downtime, fast speed
• Independent worker, being able to undertake tasks with minimal direction
• Knowledge and self-assurance sufficient to be able to to offer independent suggestions
• Ability to follow directions well but will question as needed for clarity
• Works fast and efficiently
• Highly dependable – consistently meets deadlines
• Works well with others in a collaborative manner

The following skills are a plus:
• PHP
• Photoshop (for basic image editing)
• Joomla experience
