SENIOR / SOFTWARE ENGINEER (APPLICATIONS) KL Malaysia

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To participate in software requirements analysis and system architecture design.
2. To develop detailed technical design and functional specifications based on user
requirements specifications.
3. To develop and deploy applications within time, functionality and specifications using
industrial best practices on software development lifecycle and techniques.
4. To monitor the consistency and quality of programming code.
5. To monitor the correctness, compliance and integrity of programming code and its
functionality – consistently qualifying according to system test methodology and
requirements.
6. To highlight issues that can become problematic to development and to suggest pre-emptive
options or alternative solutions.
7. Able to work with minimum supervision as well as able to contribute to team development
and able to work within tight deadlines.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS
1. Possess a Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering /
Computer Engineering / Telecommunications.
2. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle.
3. Knowledgeable in the following solution platform architecture: Web-based n-tier and/or
Client-server technology (.NET and J2EE platform).
4. Experienced in the following development syntax: C, C++, C#, ASP.NET, Java, XML, XAML,
AJAX, DHTML, Javascript, VBScript.
5. Experienced in RDBMS: MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, OLAP tools.
6. Knowledgeable in database modelling, design and normalisation.
7. Candidates must possess good analytical and logical problem solving skills.
8. Experienced in Microsoft Team Foundation Server environment.
9. Candidates should have strong communications skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both
oral presentation and written communications).
10. Candidates must possess own transport and should be willing to travel overseas for project
implementation.
OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledgeable in SDK, Web service and DLL library development and unmanaged code
integration to .net framework would be an advantage
2. Experience in smart cards protocol and systems would be an advantage.
