JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a part-time Squarespace web developer that's familiar with client-side technologies and able to troubleshoot issues with CSS and JavaScript. Some of our clients have needs that almost outlive Squarespace, but they're not ready to migrate to something better. So the more you know about the advanced features and "hacks" for more advanced content, the better.

You need to be able to create SEO- and human-friendly content on your own (which will be reviewed), as well as source and optimize graphics and video for the website. Some media will be provided, and some will need to come from stock photo sites like Unsplash or Pexels.

Our management style is very open, so you should also be self-motivated and have a hard-working attitude. However, we don't expect you to be working around the ---------- a workday, you'd be expected to tackle the tasks that are assigned to you and be flexible enough to react to any emergencies that may occur which may rearrange your tasks. You'd be expected to communicate daily on video chat and test your own updates immediately.

We only communicate in English. Your communication style must be friendly and readable by anyone else that may be on the project with you. You should be the type of person that asks questions. You should be a proactive communicator. Over-communication is ideal.

You should also be the kind of person that can tell that something may need to be done another way and bring this up. We're not looking for a "robot" that just does what they're told. You'd be expected to think creatively and keep the client's best interests in mind.
