Tekla Steel Detailer | Contractor

Location: Own Home Office - Philippines

Provide 30 - 40 hours a week supporting our Workshop Drawing services of structural steel buildings using Tekla.

Business Overview:
Working remotely from your home office with your own equipment, you will step into the role as a key member of our CAD Contractor Team. You’ll primarily support the Victorian (Australia) based company with structural steel 3D modelling, drafting and checking of small scale commercial and domestic projects. Reporting to the Director you will also be tasked with quoting projects, preparing RFI’s and training others with Tekla. A further key to your success will be your ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal English.

Role & Responsibilities:
1. Supply Workshop Drawings to Australian Steel code standards
2. Manage end to end project deliverables including:
a. Provide timely job quotations
b. Project Management – identify RFI’s and variations, problem solving, monitor project progress
c. Quality Assurance – develop bespoke checklists, check your own and other team members project deliverables

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:
• Using Tekla 3+ years in the construction industry
• Knowledge of Australian Steel code a bonus
• Has demonstrated an ability to communicate with a team of engineers
