JOB OVERVIEW

Wordpress Designer & IT Professional

================Core Role:
The Wordpress Designer & IT professional will support the Web Viking Agency team with building Wordpress elementor websites and handle DNS and handle tickets of Wordpress technical support issues. A key priority of this role will be to design pages using a sitemap and visual tools for our writing team. The Wordpress Professional will be working closely with the CEO and Head of Client Service. Ideally, we are looking for a wordpress professional comfortable with building a more efficient design process for us and on track to be a company lead or manager for our web design department.

Technical WordPress Usage, can see and describe technical problems
Able to work solo, with limited oversight
On-page SEO experience preferred, but not required
Must have done page speed optimization and can show proof
Must know how to build out a design plan for a website
Has fantastic eye for aesthetics and details
Understand the importance of User Experience and Conversion
Understanding of the Development/Test/Acceptance/Production cycle
Have great written english skills
Great attention to detail (also use the codeword taco in the application to be considered further)
Loves improving and contributing to an existing project (you would be our head designer)
Experience with Flywheel and Github a plus


==============Responsibilities:
Reading a client brief to understand their brand, colors, service, and location areas
Prepare a Sitemap or a project plan for the client to approve a new web project (example: ---------- )
Selecting an Elementor Pro theme for us to develop from
Using getFlywheel to migrate in websites with a plugin
Use Flywheel Local Pro to pull websites to design and push to test and production wordpress site
Use Flywheel Local Pro to pull a premade “base template blueprint” for new site development
Designing a website based on the approved sitemap and the wordpress template
Submitting a request to the content writing team for each page to be built
Receiving and providing feedback to and from the client for revisions
Adding the text provided from the content writers
Technically setting up forms, buttons, links for each page
Reviewing each page for any technical issues i.e. broken links, buttons, forms, pictures, missing text
Pulling and pushing multiple websites through the development/test/acceptance/production servers
Reporting a 0 or 1 KPI on the status and progress the tasks of the design process
Providing ideas and suggestions to help improve getting our wordpress websites made with minimal revisions
Must handling page-speed optimization work
Handle HTML/CSS issues from their websites/plugins
Setup a DNS on Namecheap to point to Flywheel
Handle web design and development tickets for website updates and bug fixes (HTML, JS, or CSS issues)
Reviewing others’ web design for completion and for high quality.
