Magento Developer

Desired skill set: PHP, Magento, WooCommerce, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Server Management

The Magento Developer will be the fourth team member to EZ Digital Opportunities's team. The developer’s role will include but is not limited to:

* Developing and architecting new site features and plugins
* Updating site designs with the collaboration of our designer
* Writing up how-to guides for clients
* Deploying and maintaining code on servers
* Coaching new developers
* Participating in team building activities

The developer is expected to be a part of most morning stand-ups and to report directly to the company CEO. The ideal person for the role will need to be a good student and a good teacher, someone who can teach and who can lead. who can teach me something and who I can teach. This person needs to be a self-starter and be able to search for solutions on their own. They should be easy to work with and transparent in their knowledge and on what they are currently working on.

This person will also need to be able to provide their own internet and also to be consistently available to talk to Monday through Friday 8am-12pm.

We’re EZ Digital Opportunities, a two-year web development company looking to expand. Our hope is to open a development branch in the Philippines in 2021. Our mission is to create more digital opportunities in the world. We’re an ecommerce development company focused on developing sites and plugins for clients in Magento, Shopify, and WooCommerce. Our focus is two-fold providing our clients with opportunities to make more profit and building tools to help our clients save more time. We are a mission based company dedicated to spreading more opportunities to people in developing nations as well as in underprivileged communities of developed nations. We accomplish this mission by using 10% of our profits to invest in small businesses because small businesses create more opportunity in their local communities.

THE POSITION

We are hiring our first full-time contract developer, and I'm hoping this person will be able to take the lead of many projects as we grow out our team. We will negotiate a salary that is dependent on your experience. The salary will be very competitive. As a full-time developer, the developer will be working from home and must work between the hours of 8am-12pm Philippine Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Afterwards, the developer can work anytime aside from that, but all of their hours must add up to a total of 40 hours per week. The developer we hire will also need to have their own internet, laptop, and paypal account. They will also be required to use a time tracking software that monitors their computer usage when working. Currently, this position is for a contractor, but eventually, this position will transition into an employed position with full benefits.
