Editor - Proofreader

The ideal candidate will be a Journalism graduate or English teacher with 3-6 years of experience in digital or print publishing with a penchant for writing and engaging social media posts, editing video subtitles as well as a proven interest in personal development, the expert speaker fields and influencers. You will be using the word pumpkin in the subject of the email for your application. Most importantly, the candidate will be an enthusiastic, opinionated and an effervescent addition to a close-knit, international team.

Must be interested in personal development type experts.


Duties & Responsibilities
***Ownership of all editing of all content, both video and written.
***Able to proactively seek out new ways of saying a sentence that's engaging and appealing for sales, likes and comments
***Lead weekly brainstorming sessions to develop new editorial ideas
***Learn to write/edit for multiple styles of experts
***Review, publish and schedule daily content (where applicable)
***Working with the commercial team to deliver cross-platform content
***Introducing systems for better communication and planning within the editorial team (e.g. Trello, google docs & Clipscribe, signal)
***Reporting to management on a daily basis (of the hours set)
***Edit efficiently for 100% perfection
***Must understand Australian English and the nuances associated.
***Be accountable and work above the job scope

***A folio of both long and short format editorial
***Perfect spelling and grammar
***Someone comfortable working on their own and accountable for all the time spent doing the task
***Time tracking will be needed
***High-speed internet
