PET Recycling Chemist (Biochemist)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Following Standard Operating Procedures, analyse raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods in support of manufacturing operations.
• Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis or testing.
• Analyse data to ensure results are within specifications or tolerances and make decisions regarding release of product for production use.
• Store samples of finished products in labelled cartons and record their location
• Maintain laboratory environment in a manner consistent with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), including use of laboratory notebooks in a neat and organized manner, labelling and storage of solvents, reagents and standards in an appropriate manner and focus on working safely.
• Conduct product and equipment inspections to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Conduct in Process product and finished product reviews, to determine compliance to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Knowledge/Familiarity working in a FDA regulated environment with associate Product/Consumer Safety requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Two year college degree in related filed.
• 3+year experience in PET or PP/PE quality laboratory.
• Professional communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a Team environment.
