Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Maintenance operations on assigned shift by setting goals, organizing and assigning work, training employees, and maintaining a productive work environment in order to meet established maintenance schedules. Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility by:
• Supervise, plan, and coordinate maintenance operations on assigned shift to minimize production downtime and maintain an effective machinery maintenance program.
• Ensure quality of work, proper use and care of equipment and machines, and proper application of maintenance repair methods.
• Select and train technician in maintenance operations. Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to maintain safe and efficient work performance.
• Organize and assign completion of maintenance work orders, utilizing employees' knowledge, skills, and abilities to the best advantage to expedite repairs. Maintain close observation over repairs, providing guidance to employees concerning proper maintenance techniques.
• Troubleshoot equipment or machine problems. Take appropriate corrective action to ensure equipment is repaired and returned to proper working order in a timely manner.
• Assign completion of scheduled inspections and work orders according to the preventive maintenance schedule. Follow up on any items noted as needing corrective action.
• Maintain conformance with Company policies, work rules, and regulations by coaching employees and/or initiating disciplinary actions as required.
• Maintain spares as needed to insure that equipment is available when required.
• Effectively utilize and maintain maintenance plans, including following all processes for work order completion and documentation.
• Performing basic care rounds, ensuring that all equipment is inspected as specified by the manuals.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required (technical courses a plus).
• Five years of successful supervisory experience in a related position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively coach, leads, motivate, and develop people.
• Developed problem solving skills with previous industrial equipment experience.
