JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be responsible for making sure our financial records are kept up to date, that our policies and processes are simple and straightforward, and that we use our financial data to continually improve the performance of the business. Working across a small team and reporting to the DIRECTORS, you’ll be liaising with staff such as the OPERATIONS MANAGER and GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER to ensure accuracy of information.
You’ll be responsible for the bookkeeping of Host So Simple, regularly reporting to the Directors and the team, and support the directors in the running of the business providing financial information to aid decision making.
As our first hire into the finance function, this role has substantial scope to grow.
THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE):
- A good to advanced level of IT skills including word processor, spreadsheets, and
- Good in Math and English
- Experience of Xero and bookkeeping (two years or more would be preferred)
- Excellent communications skills, whether written or spoken
- A passion for service excellence
- Ability to maintain calm under pressure
- Is accurate, methodical and careful
- Enjoys working on a computer and learning new software
- Well organised with good time management skills
- Is detail-oriented and able to follow instructions carefully
- Has great problem-solving skills
- Has a warm and friendly personality
- Knowledge in using Asana is preferred but not required

PAY AND BENEFITS
Starting Pay rate: 275 per hour
You will get paid on a Friday via Transferwise
Bonuses will be paid for exceptional work
Your pay will increase based on the standard of your work and time with the company
You will be given holiday pay after your probationary period
We pay 13th month as standard (pro-rata)
