Wordpress/Ecommerce Expert

We are looking at making changes to our current Wordpress website and need a Wordpress expert who has experience with both eCommerce and Wordpress. The role has the potential to be an ongoing part-time role.

We currently have a high ranking website and are expanding our shopping cart. The current set up does not allow for a delivery plugin to be added to the cart which we need added. We also want some changes to the design of the shopping cart and the product search bar.


What we are looking at changing is the following:
• Migration from WP eCommerce (Gold Cart) to a WooCommerce platform so that we can add a delivery plugin in such as TransDirect
• Our shopping cart has been customised and has two separate parts – Boat Sales and Products – we want to make the Boat Sale page have icons to identify features such as engine (ie propeller) but not have it on the Products pages (ie Marine Parts and Marine Engines).
• Our product search bar is ineffective and doesn’t search properly.
• Our website needs to be converted to a mobile friendly template


We need someone to be able to do the following:
For the Wordpress Migration:
- Testing Wordpress install compatibility with new Woo Commerce
- Install new ecommerce system
- Migrate all products to new system
- Design and integrate new templates to match current site
- Install and test delivery plugins to suit products in catalogue

For the Product pages:
- Create a relationship between a set of selectable boat options
- Add Icons to these options for greater user experience and design (using a set of already created icons, custom made icons can be created at a separate charge)
