Product Engineer - PHP

Located in Heber City, UT, NovaSync is a startup software company that will revolutionize the way businesses track compliance and security. Existing software takes too long to implement and doesn't make workflows and reporting easy.

PRODUCTS
NovaSync’s software allows customers to set up custom workflows to capture any compliance or security process, receive data inputs, and output custom reporting. Because we have been compliance and security consultants, we are uniquely positioned to know exactly what workflows and evidence are needed to satisfy auditors. This allows us to provide optimal workflows, data integrations, and reporting with minimal implementation time for the same cost as competitors, which allows us a bigger profit. This is a B-to-B relationship with clients already asking us for this product.

TEAM: PRODUCT, UX, and ENGINEERING
You will become the second member of our development team. We will use a git client to write code and collaborate. Our stack is Linux/Windows running PHP and SQL (MSSQL or MySQLi) to output to HTML/CSS using AJAX requests. Our clients expect the software to be secure as it will store sensitive information on premise.

The focus of the product and engineering team is building cross-device compatible user interfaces (Bootstrap for now) that communicate effectively and make action painless and instinctual. Our entire team is laser focused on understanding our customers’ problems, preferences, and feedback in order to build a product that they love and helps fuel our company’s growth.

You must be willing to contribute full stack and learn from their team in order to successfully deliver new features. We’re looking for someone who knows and adheres to best practices at all levels including workflow management, source control management, coding standards, performance, -security, and everything else that you already know comes with the territory.

DETAILS
STATUS: Full-time (~40 hrs per week) for 6 months with the goal of extending to permanent employment
WORK HOURS: 1-hour video working session ---------- am Mountain Time / 21:00 pm Manila Time and then the remainder of your work hours are up to you
LOCATION: Location: Virtual team (work from home)
