Editing youtube videos and making sure they are fast paced.
Must be able to create fast-paced videos that hook the viewer
No clip can be longer than 5 seconds (Shorter clips are better). You want the edit
to be fast pace
Even if you do not hear the audio of a clip, it still needs to be under 5 seconds. We
want a tight edit so the video is always fast paced. You can use unique transitions,
but they should be quick and we should never have a blank frame.
The first 10 seconds of the video are the most important! This is where you
grab the viewer’s attention. ALWAYS start with a relevant clip with original audio (5
seconds or less). The subject of the video should be the first thing people see. If
it's about McDonald’s, then the first thing we should see is video of McDonald’s
products.
The “Call-To-Action” is when the viewer is prompted to do something. There is
also a subscribe animation that appears somewhere in the 90-120 second range.
At the end of the video, there is also another call-to-action where the voice over
asks viewers to subscribe and hit the notification bell. Please look at our most
recent videos for examples of what to do.
Our videos are always 16:9. If you need to use video that is a different aspect ratio
(ex: portrait, square or 4:3), make sure you use the full height of the frame and
always use blur effect around the video. Here is an example of how to use 4:3
footage:
anamorphic or panavision (Black bars top & bottom) then you must zoom in to fill
the frame at 16:9. If you HAVE to use Low Quality footage for an entry in the video,
you can change the order of the video/VO to push those entries to the end. NEVER
put low-quality video in the beginning.
If you can do this reach out!
