Research and writing for an Info-Book

This is a report writing assignment. It requires you do comprehensive research on both broad and detailed information on the subject.

The book is about the FICO Credit Score rating and it's importance to everyone's financial health.

Topics include:
What is the FICO credit score and how does it work
The history or evolution of the FICO credit scoring system.
Who are the main FICO reporting agencies.
How is the FICO credit score used.
Why is it important to financial institutions
Who uses the FICO credit score.
How a bad score affects people.
How a good score affects people.
What Federal Laws govern credit reporting.
What consumer protection laws pertain to credit reporting.
What are things people can do to maintain a good credit score.
What can people do to improve a credit score.
How accurate are credit scores.
Why can credit scores be negatively impacted.

Research the "Credit repair - restoration" industry.
Why should people check and keep track of their credit score.
Why should people maintain accurate credit score.
Why credit repair can fail.
Provide examples:
Scams or rip-offs.
Legitimate credit restoration services.
Prices and costs of various types of credit repair services.

Compile information including facts, figures and statistics.
Break into subjects areas like above suggestions.
Write a chapter about the subject area.

I will do final proofreading and copy editing which I will expect to be minimal.

The compensation will be a combination of fixed pay and bonus pay. The fixed pay will be ok, and the bonuses will be interesting and potentially very profitable for the right person There will be 2 or 3 bonuses. The 1st bonus amount will be determined and given a value of 100 points = 100%. Every mistake or edit I make to final copy will deduct 1 point. I don't expect 100% but I expect better than 80%.

The writing should not be so dry as to make it boring. The writing style should be interesting and carry the reader from paragraph to paragraph. So a 2nd bonus will be determined for readability. While this is subjective, it's importance cannot be overstated. This bonus will be much greater than the 1st.

A 3rd bonus may or may not be offered based on the success of the book. We will discuss this prior to midway through project.

If you are good, you will earn well, but if you are not, you will not earn well. If you have any question or concern, please ask.

In submission for the job, please do not send me a resume. I'm not interested in your education or who you worked for... I'm only interested in how well you can write. Therefore, send an example of a report or book chapter you've written in the past, or take a risk on researching one subject of this project and writing an interesting paragraph or two about it.
