Senior backend dev with PM/lead ambitions for lifelong learning platform

Are you a seasoned **backend developer** with 5-10 years experience with a track record of advanced **Wordpress plugin development** who worked with **vue.js** in the past, well experienced in **Github** and with ambitions to run or at least heavily influence the **project management (PM)** of a great small dev team with agile techniques?

The current code base consists of organically grown code with different coding styles that is in need of refactoring as basis for future growth and collaboration. We identified **vue.js** as path forward to create a component structure for the code.

We have an amazing design system at hand that can serve as blueprint for straightforward development. We also aim at creating native apps in 2021.

Our dev team of four full time devs, all based in the Philipines, is currently managed by one of our co-founders with good technical background, but not no full coding background. Our plan is to use this job opening to find a senior developer with ambitions to (assist in or fully) manage the dev team as part of the job. Here we are interested in applying agile approaches. Do you have an opinion for how dev teams should organize their work to be most effective while creating an environment where you yourself want to work in? This is the chance to give it a shot.

Our code is hosted on Github and we also would like to leverage more of its features going forward, so we are particularly interested in people with a lot of experience here as well.

We are a remote company and communicate in English via Asana and Slack. One of our founders lives in Berlin and the other in Munich. We work with developers, designers, writers and researchers in many countries, including Poland, the Philippines, UK, USA, and many more.
