I am the marketing manager for a retail company with a growing e-commerce presence. We have been in business for over 20 years, but have only launched e-commerce within the last 3 years.
I am looking for someone to train in assisting me me in managing the online marketing. I do not expect you to be an expert in e-commerce, adwords, seo, or anything else. I do expect you to have some work experience with websites and online marketing, preferably WordPress. Some HTML experience is necessary, but I do not expect you to be an expert. CSS is a plus. You need to be able to manipulate basic HTML and have the ability to become more proficient over time. The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
1. You pride yourself on doing good work. You care about what you do and know the value of paying attention to detail.
2. You have *excellent* English reading and writing skills. You will not be required to write new or original content (though if you can that is a huge plus), but you and I need to be able to communicate well or I cannot train you. Also, you need to be able to read about our products, learn what they are and roughly how they work.
3. You are willing and able to learn new skills in the areas of e-commerce, website management, design, adwords, seo, and marketing in general. The more experience you have the better. I will be training you in many areas related to my job and need you to be able to keep up. Your responsibilities will start small and overtime will become greater. Your salary will increase as your skills and responsibilities increase. I will teach you as much as you are willing to learn, so this is an opportunity for you to become proficient in many areas related to online marketing.

Your initial responsibilities would be to simply assist in managing the day-to-day website and reporting responsibilities:
1. Managing the website:
- upload new products as-needed (we are in the process of expanding our inventory)
- change product descriptions
- edit pricing, add/edit sale pricing, add coupons
- add and manipulate website graphics
- fix meta-titles and descriptions as-needed
- run sales reports on a weekly basis (this is easy) and export to spreadsheet templates that I've set up.
- do minor graphic design work
2. Assist with our Google Adwords:
- run weekly adwords reports and export to a spreadsheet template I've set up
- change text of ads on an as-needed basis
- slowly learn how to use Google Adwords, create new campaigns, ad groups, and ads, and optimize existing campaigns based on data.
3. Assist in managing our email newsletter:
- add new emails to our Mailchimp user list
- create new email templates using the drag-and-drop interface
- send these emails on a weekly basis, keep track of results, and update our weekly newsletter reports.

If you feel this position is right for you, please send me an email. In the email please include the following:
a) Your full name and age (and preferably a picture)
b) a resume showing your work experience
c) a sample of your writing with around 100 words. You can tell me anything you want (what you like reading, what you do in your free time, your hobbies, or simply why you think you're right for the job, or what you want to get out of it).
d) list any questions for me you may have about the position
