A TEAM OF DESIGNERS AND PROGRAMMERS

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will join a collaborative team of designers and programmers of varying experience levels, contributing knowledge of Node.js frameworks and ensuring a smooth integration of user-facing elements with server-side elements. The Node.js Developer will be responsible for understanding fundamental design principles behind the creation of a scalable product, and will work with a team in developing, testing, optimizing, and maintaining new database configurations, as well as performing version upgrades. In this position, you must be comfortable working and problem-solving independently. Additionally, this position will assist teammates as needed, acting as a point of escalation and resolution for challenges related to the Node.js portions of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Serving as the team’s subject matter expert on Node.js frameworks
· Designing and developing enhancements on new and existing applications using Node.js and Unity
· Writing re-useable, testable, and efficient code
· Managing interchange of data between servers and users
· Integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic
· Ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the product
· Implementing security and data protection protocols
· Collaborating with team members to create, publish, and maintain product
· Troubleshooting and ensuring a timely resolution of issues, including debugging as needed
· Ensuring adequate backup of database and perform recovery duties as needed
· Advising team members and providing guidance as needed
· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum: 2+ years of experience building and running focused Node.js, Unity
· Must have experience with Unity
. 4+ years preferred
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another technical field preferred
· Master’s Degree in a technical field a plus
· Strong working knowledge of Node.js, Unity, JavaScript, XML, HTML, ASP. Net, C# and various No-SQL databases, especially MongoDB
· Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tools, including working knowledge of front-end technologies
· History working directly with development teams or leading teams
· Must be a proactive problem-solver and demonstrate initiative
· Ability to independently analyze and debug as needed
· Strong logical reasoning skills
· Demonstrable leadership skills a plus
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability and willingness to train and/or mentor teammates as needed
