Job: Web content, creative and copy writer, blogger

For ecommerce selling 100% pure beeswax pillar candles, on which are printed inspirational quotes on romance, health, well-wishes for special occasions, bereavement, etc...

Requirements:

1. able to write web content that will engage visitors to the site and convert them into customers
2. able to search keywords for SEO , as well as to research how to create testimonials that will create backlinks to my website
3. able to do research and can come up with ideas that would be relevant to the subject of candles, or beeswax, or bees, or to the quotes that are on the candle, and to write a blog article that is informative or entertaining and engaging
4. be motivated, imaginative, creative and resourceful, able to find photos or illustrations that will go with the article
5,. able to create surveys to engage visitors to the website
6. must know how to format the text for easier readability on the website
7. write informally, in a conversational tone, and have a sense of humor
8. able to take the initiative and be able to voice his/her opinion, not shy to say what he/she is thinking
9. must be organised and deadline driven.  I would require one article per week to be posted on the website

The successful candidate would ideally have a portfolio of past work that demonstrates his./her skill, voice, and tone as a writer

Familiarity with WooCommerce would be welcome but not required.  However, s/he must be willing to learn to work with it to the point the s/he is able to navigate the back-end if necessary

Applicants must be willing to write a short article, about 200 words, on a topic that I will choose in order to evaluate his/her writing style and ability.

Lastly, the finalists from the 1st screening must be willing to go on an audio call with me to test our ability to communicate with each other and work together.
