We're looking for a talented Technical Project Manager.
As the successful candidate, you are an organizational whiz. A super savvy Internet user who loves keeping things structured, meticulous about project plans, you get more excited than anyone probably should when discussing tracking projects. You know the best sites to gather information. You are a quick learner and work well without constant supervision. You are a master of efficiency and productivity, able to offer suggestions for improving the existing process. Able to speak and write English very well and are available to work full-time, US Pacific time 8 AM to 6 PM.
You genuinely care about your clients and are anxious to learn and grow in your career. An interest (or experience) in Information Technology is a huge plus.
Managing the people, tasks, and external resources for assigned projects within the defined tolerances
Ensuring the project team is defined and staffed appropriately and that the appropriate internal and external services are obtained to meet the objectives of the project to deliver the specified functionality and requirements defined by the projects
Complying with all System Development/Project Life Cycle, Change Management, Regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Providing oversight of the analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications and systems
Communicating with users, IT and senior level management concerning project progress, concerns, issues and manage stakeholders’ expectations
Ensuring all project requirements and/or objectives are properly defined and documented
Establishing, building, and updating project plans with actual and forecasts, manage deviations from the plan, and identify and manage project risk
Acting as a primary liaison between the IT division and the various stakeholders
Expressing information effectively through clear and convincing oral and written presentations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of IT experience is required, including application development projects and working with business and IT users
- Knowledge of project management frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Experience in project budgeting, design, scheduling and documentation.
- Good business analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong management skills and ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with customers and all stakeholders across business units.
- Experienced in supervising a matrix team of associates, contractors and vendors with various skills and disciplines
- Ability to coordinate/participate on multiple projects in a well-organized, efficient and professional manner.
- Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities, leverage time management and problem solving skills in order to perform assigned tasks, with reasonable levels of self-direction.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Agile experience and certification are nice to have.
