WiFi Scanning over Linux. Data aggregation and Data display

We are a team who has to develop an application over Linux. Two of us are programmers itself, but nowadays they are so busy that we need some support for a part of the project we are implementing.

We will hire for potential and culture, and we are ready to pay some market premium if we love you. We will pay closed price for each work pacage, but you will be able to determine the price (please be aware that we aready have used such services before)

The project consist on WiFi beacon detection (to detect Smartphone probe requests calling to WiFi Access points.

802.11 beacons are transmitted by WiFi devices and they contain information that can be used to identify some characteristics about the devices within a range of a WiFi router or accesspoint (from now on WiFi Sferes).

Devices with WiFi such as Smartphones, Tablets or computers can be then detected and computed. We would be using probe requests. These devices can be detected by WiFi Sferes even if a user does not connect that device to the WiFi Sferes. The device’s presence can still be detected as long as the device is within signal range and the device’s WiFi antenna is turned on.

The intention of this project is to create a firmware to be used by a Raspberry Pi under Linux (and to be exported to other devices) that monitors these probe requests, and sends them to a backend infrastructure. Data will be analyzed on the backend afterwards to determine presence.

How will we work? We will divide the project in 3 phases:
-Data collection
-Data Aggregation
-Data display.

On each phase we will have to agree with the developer the requirements to be fulfilled (this phase will be already payed), and then he will need to deveope accordingly. We will hire each phase independently, and we will keep hiring you if we are satisfied with your performance (we need the full project done!!)
