JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for projects. The candidate will be responsible for the overall construction of all projects assigned. The successful candidate must possess
the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and client while successfully directing the Site Superintendent, Estimator, and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance
with the contract documents, schedule and budget. This individual will work closely with the prime consultant for a project and fulfill an integral role on the project.
Candidate must be professional and a personable leader committed to the overall objective and self
development within the company.

Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of project schedule
2. review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost saving procedures, and potential construction problems
3. assist estimator in preparation of project budget
4. prepare the general conditions budget
5. assist in assembling the job site office and equipment requirements
6. have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/clients as well as effectively lead the trades
7. expedite all shop drawings and approval
8. monitor and maintain project construction schedules in weekly basis
9. raise and discuss relevant issues at the site job meetings. Prepare and issue minutes of all site meetings
10. inform the consultant/client of any errors, dicrepancies or omissions contained within the consultant's design drawings
11. expedite all CNN and CO cost. Maintain current CO logs.
12. monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the occupational health and safety act are enforced.
13. Ensure completion of and track all independent testing and inspections as required.
14. Issue monthly progress draws and invoicing to consultant and client including final hold backs.
15. Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.
16. Control and monitor labour, material and equipment, expenses
17. Prepare monthly cost forecasting summaries
18. Ensure that “as built” drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction
period and issue final close outs to consultant/owner accordingly.
19. Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists.\

Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years experience as project manager
2. must be graduate in BS in Civil Engineering
3. License is an advantage
4. must have an understanding in construction terms, scheduling, and planning concepts.
5. proficient in MS word and excel.
6. excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
