JOB DESCRIPTION
I’m looking to hire a video editor to help me create weekly YouTube videos pertaining to medicine, military life, productivity, and lifestyle that are 10-15 min long. The right candidate with excellent work ethic, communication skills, and integrity may move into a position with additional responsibilities that would include helping me manage the channel, create thumbnails, etc.

4. Link me to a YouTube video that has great editing or contains stylistic elements you plan to incorporate. What specific editing or stylistic elements are appealing to you that you plan to include?
5. Go to (https://www.speedtest.net/) and take a screenshot of your Internet speed test.
If you are selected from the initial application process, you will have the opportunity to complete a preliminary job for which you will be reimbursed. This will serve as an initial project to showcase your editing skills. Project will be judged on the following criteria:
- Ability to follow editing instructions.
- Taking creative liberties to enhance style and over-all quality of video.
- Turn around speed.
- Based upon the initial project, I will contact the best fit individual for the position to continue ongoing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet employer's needs and video specifications, but also take creative liberties to improve production quality.
- Consult with employer from production to post-production process and respond promptly.
- Edit video clips that is invisible to the audience and/ or with transitions that masks the change.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, clips and effects
REQUIREMENTS
- Solid experiences with professional editing software, including Final Cut Pro X (Motion is a bonus), Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, or After Effects.
- Demonstrable excellent video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Fast computer (able to edit 4K footage) and fast internet (to download and upload files).
- Detail-oriented, clear communicator, and able to follow instructions.
- Resourceful, organized, and proactive. As you face challenges, you should be able to think independently and come up with appropriate solutions.
- Flexible in taking on new roles and being eager to learn, grow, and adapt as the business scales.
