My business Happy Host is a vacation rental turnover service provider in San Diego, CA. One of the biggest challenges we face is with our workforce. Obtaining and retaining qualified housekeepers has always been an issue. One reason for this is because of our scheduled work is largely irregular by nature so we find it difficult to maintain a consistent schedule with workers.
Part time workers may be the solution, but we need a consistent funnel of applicants being interviewed and vetted in order to try out working with the company.
This position must have regular interaction with employees by voice call or video call (we will provide a way to call online). The responsibilities of this position will include
- recruiting new workers (via job postings mostly)
- conducting initial qualifying interviews
- employee initiation to complete new hire paperwork
- maintaining a system to keep employee records digitally
- serving signed documents via docusign
- serving corrective action plans
- scheduling quarterly review meetings
- handling employee grievances
- handling incoming labor board cases
- ensuring the company is protected against labor disputes
- help establish an organizational structure that will allow the company to grow to new markets
