JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for someone to join my team on a long-term basis. The position is "Content Writer". Details are below.

Job Description:

The Content Writer will work with me and my existing virtual staff. My current staff consists of one content writer, one link-builder, and one senior SEO specialist. All work will be virtual (in other words, no office space or equipment will be provided to you. You will need to have your own computer, Internet connection, etc., and you will perform all work from your own work station).

Daily tasks will include (but not be limited to) writing content for my portfolio of websites. You will work closely with my two SEO specialists.

Pay will be USD $300 per month. I am open to increasing pay with good performance.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

* An excellent grasp of the English language (most importantly, excellent written English - grammar, spelling, etc.)

* Excellent online research skills

* Knowledge of how to structure articles for SEO

* Excellent communication skills. I will require regular (daily) emails with myself and/or other members of my team, and I will not accept anyone being "offline" for extended periods of time (although I do understand that power outages sometimes occur).

* Flexibility. While the content writer will largely be responsible for writing, the type of writing may vary - from website articles to short reports to content for Web 2.0 sites. The writer will need to adjust to changing needs.

Here are some of the tasks the content writer will be responsible for:

(1) Researching and writing articles to be placed on my websites. You will be given all the keywords for the articles by my senior SEO specialist.

Topics will be all health-related, as most of my websites deal with sleep disorders (with a handful of other sites deal with weight loss and panic attacks/anxiety). I will expect you to research and write articles that provide useful information to my visitors, but also write with SEO in mind. Writing the articles might also include inserting affiliate links and advertising links in appropriate places throughout the articles (I will provide you with the links).

(2) Writing email messages to go out to my subscribers, informing them of the new articles posted on my websites. You might also be required to post the email messages in my aWeber account (aWeber is an automatic email service. It's very easy to post messages in aWeber).

(3) Researching and writing short reports (e.g. 10 pages), to be posted on my websites (again, the topics would all be health-related. An example of a report topic could be "How to Prepare for Sleep Apnea Surgery").

(4) You might also be required to post the articles you've written on my websites (all of my sites are built on Wordpress, so posting is very easy. If you are not familiar with how to do this, I can show you).

(5) Editing existing articles on my sites, to make sure they are structured well for the search engines.

(6) Miscellaneous other writing- and editing-related tasks.
