Full-stack Engineer

We are a new startup in Canada, building software applications, from ruby on rails and nodeJs using the mean stack to mobile apps.
We are looking to hire a full-stack engineer for a full time job.

You must:
You love prototyping and building out features quickly, and doing whatever needs to be done to get from zero to one. There are so many priorities and you instinctively have a feel for which ones will be the most important. You love building new things and have respect for “Lean” (like “Lean Startup”) thinking to test your intuitions.

You are always happy to learn new programming languages in order to get stuff done. You’ve tinkered with mobile app development, web development, and front-end work to do personal projects. You’ve built things off of external APIs just to make random parts of your life better.

The numbers don’t lie and you think that building good analytics and tests is as important as building good features.

You care deeply about user experience and love implementing user-facing features.

Things about you:

You are a generalist hacker
You enjoy learning whatever tech is necessary to get something awesome working
You care a lot about user experience
You focus on analytics as part of success and are good at running the numbers

We would love if:

You have worked for a very early stage start-up before
You already know Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and at least one mobile platform at an intermediate level
You can point to several live projects you’ve created on web or mobile
You have deep knowledge of at least one social network’s API
