JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for another Content Writer and Social Media Assistant.

Akolade manages several industry content platforms, providing dynamic and trusted sources of news, opinions and learnings for professionals working in Australia’s health and aged care sectors, government sector, retail and supply sector and not-for-profit sector.?

We strive to deliver high-level content focusing on what leaders in these sectors need to know to accelerate?their career, business, and their sector as a whole.

We are currently seeking a Content Producer to lead one of these platforms.

MAIN TASKS:
• Source news and write articles that relate to current trends
• Research with professionals in the sector and generate interesting opinion articles and industry resources
• Manage the website (wordpress)
• Create and manage newsletters sent out to subscribers
• Grow site’s readership and number of subscribers
• Manage and drive social media engagement
• Assist with the creation on industry events
• Liaise marketing team and manage advertisements
• Develop and manage EDM campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A degree in journalism/media/communications is preferable, though nothing beats experience

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• Experience in sourcing news and content
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
• Experience working with CMS
• The ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
• An understanding of social media audience engagement
• Proficiency in SEO management

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum one year as a journalist/content producer
