Wordpress Help

I've installed Wordpress and a theme I need modified.
This site will be for selling knives but I do not need a commerce site, just a place for people to see our full retail prices and pictures.

I would like the home page to be static with no posts and scrolling pictures. (basically our catalogue) that I can also show offline.
I'd also like a calendar so I can post my schedule
I'd like a blog so I can post some articles, and customer recommendations and maybe pictures of events, etc.
Whatever plug ins you think are necessary.
I can set up a username/password in my back office, but I'd need an e address.

Let me know if you can do this. Going forward, I will have changes to this website. I also have another website that I would like redone shortly after this one is finished.
