JOB OVERVIEW

We’re building a Media Company, the first product is a video podcast ( ---------- ) which we want to take in 2020 to 1million subscribers on social media.

---------- is a video podcast featuring conversations with interesting people about interesting topics worth listening to. We are a small but fast growing social media business. We produce exciting and informative podcasts hosting interesting guests. We recorded over 60 episodes ---------- eck out: ---------- /apodcast and ----------

We’re looking for two creative video editors / graphics designers to help us edit a huge number of our video podcasts, create eye catching thumbnails and video clips, and other media for our web and social media presence.

Our Ideal Candidate is:
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Dependable and efficient
- Consistently deliver by the deadlines
- Self-motivated and CREATIVE
- Willing to learn new tools and techniques

Job Details:
- You’ll be editing about 3-10 longform (1h+ each) episodes per week, and making 4-5 short clips from each episode, and 10-20 Instagram video clips

- You’ll be watching the whole video to understand the content, identifying and extract clips that answer specific questions or talk about specific issues / topics (if you’re a lifelong learner like me, this is an excellent opportunity for you to learn new things while you do your job)

- Add intro and outro, youtube cards, B-Roll video clips, fix any issues
- Edit audio for best quality (compress to even out the audio levels etc.)
- Create / edit short video clips from the podcasts, add titles, B-roll, captions and pop up text (see this example: ---------- )

- You’ll be responsible for the whole process of taking a recorded podcast and the title (provided to you) and after editing / formatting / extracting captions etc. you will be publishing it on all of our social media channels (youtube, linked in, instagram, facebook, tiktok, podbean etc.)
- Designing promotional graphics
- Edit video ads, You will have other custom graphics projects on as needed basis.
- Export videos in various formats (youtube, instagram, mp3)
- Create thumbnails for facebook, youtube, instagram, tiktok
- Upload to social media channels and add metadata (#tags, description, titles, cards on youtube, end links to other videos etc)
- Using otter.ai extract podcast transcription
- Use online project management tools (like trello) or shared spreadsheet to track daily accomplishments and future tasks, and goals.
- Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on the shared drive

Requirements:
- Fast internet access
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Google Drive, Google docs, Google Meet, Zoom, Facebook, Email, Social Media platforms

Bonus points if you:
- If you have experience with producing content specifically for social media,
- If you developed web pages with WordPress and can manage a website

SKILLS challenge:
To be considered for this position, you must submit 1 short (1-3min) clip using content from our youtube full podcast episodes and edit it a clip following this format (pick another video from our youtube channel and create a compelling short clip video like the one linked below):

*** make sure your short clip has all the components (choose an interesting topic for the clip, add captions, add pop up highlighting words, b-roll footage that supports the topic in the clip, proper size for instagram and YouTube)
