Summary:
Find suppliers for the various parts that our company needs, order parts from suppliers and liaise with logistics personnel so that the parts have a smooth journey to our facilities.
Typical Responsibilities:
Search for suppliers using online search tools such as Alibaba
Get quotes from suppliers
Order samples from suppliers
Organize factory visits with suppliers
Orders from suppliers
Follows up suppliers to make sure the parts are made on time
Liaises with Engineer for changes to parts or new parts
Liaises with logistics personnel to make sure parts are shipped and all the documentation is correct
Supervision:
Does not supervise anyone
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent people skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English
