Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer to join our ever-expanding software development team! As part of our dev team you will work with other software developers to create a variety of software solutions, ranging from online SaaS platforms to mobile apps to data analysis.

As a member of a small but growing team, you are able to work in a variety of different environments and are able to quickly learn new systems. You can turn project specifications into a software solution and can follow best practices to make sure your work is efficient, professional, and bug-free.

We are looking for people with a wide range of technical skills, but most important among these will be communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. General software development experience is more important than work with specific languages. That said, we tend to work with these technologies:
-PHP, JavaScript
-Yii2, React, WordPress
-MySQL, Apache2
-AWS, Docker, and Git

This is a remote, full-time position. J-Ports K.K. is based in Japan, but development and communication is entirely in English.
