Magento Technical Consultant/Developer

We are looking for a full-time Magento Technical Consultant to join our team. This is a unique position because we already have team leads in our organization and a very good development team. However, most of our developers speak English as a second language and aren’t great candidates to work directly with clients. This position is for someone who has excellent English speaking skills and a deep background in Magento development that can work directly with our clients to determine technical requirements for their projects. Our clients need to feel that we both understand their business needs and also that we have very smart people (you). It’s also a very creative job as we need someone that can help think through difficult problems with clients and help them come up with creative solutions to those problems.

So to recap, the primary role we are hiring for is for someone to consult with our clients on what their needs are and provide advice on the best options that are available within Magento.

When you are not fulfilling the primary role, you would also be fulfilling secondary development roles which include:
• Review business requirements working with other team members
• Perform a technical analysis of requirements.
• Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements with little or no supervision.
• Work with the QA and Customer Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround.
• Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use.
• Train the subordinate team of developers.
• Create reusable components, which can be configured for different projects.
• Build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades.
• Recommend software and hardware enhancements.
• Improve speed performance

Qualifications
Magento
• Strong PHP and Magento skills
• Strong experience on MYSQL DB.
• Strong understanding of the Magento System Architecture, Design, Theming, Functionality Enhancements, Configuration.
• Should have the knowledge to customize Magento Theme.
• Experience in creating and customizing modules for Magento 1 and 2 (payment, shipping, etc.)
