I run an SEO & Digital Marketing Consultancy and my portfolio is now large enough that I require assistance in managing some of the workload.
I have a really good mix of clients covering a range of sectors. I need somebody to work by my side who I can trust, is knowledgable in SEO and passionate about what they do.
This contractor will get all of my SEO work (growing by the day) with the view to my offering them full-time hours in the near future.
WHAT I NEED
I am seeking a contractor with 3 years+ experience in applied SEO to perform the following tasks (my expectation is that you will have the experience to know how to do all of these things with minimal/no training).
1. YOUR SEO SKILLS
1. Advanced Keyword Research
2. Website content Audits
3. Running keyword Benchmark reports in AWR
4. Keyword/Content Gap Analysis
5. Onpage optimisation recommendations & implementation
6. Website Technical Audits & Recommendations (+ briefing developers to implement changes)
7. Competitor websites on-page & off-page audits & recommendations
8. Monthly keyword ranking reports
9. Assisting with planning and implementing content marketing campaigns & general link building activity
Note - I will provide training to the successful candidate on my preferred process and documentation.
2. YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE TOOLS
You must be completely competent in the following software/tools:
1. Google AdWords Keyword Planner
2. Google Webmaster Tools
3. Google Analytics
4. AWR (ranking tool)
5. Screaming Frog (crawling)
6. Scrapebox
7. Ahrefs.com & OSE
8. Standard CMS (eg Wordpress, Drupal etc)
9. Microsoft Excel
10. Microsoft Word
3. YOUR OTHER TRAITS
I need somebody who wants to grow and develop with my business. The right contractor will have the following personality traits/skills:
1. FLUENT in English (and I really do mean fluent both in writing and verbally)
2. Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written)
3. The ability to edit written copy for SEO optimisation so that it reads well, is free of typos and is clearly written for a native English speaking audience
4. Copywriting skills would be a big bonus
5. Exceptional time management skills (if you say a piece of work will be done, it should be done)
6. Obsessive attention to detail
7. Taking personal ownership of a project or task
8. Ability to manage stakeholders in writing or over the telephone/Skype. This includes me, my website developers, copy writers and designers
9. Self starting - you don't need me to hold your hand to get the work done
