Experienced Designer with deep Web FE, Branding, Print and more

We need some awesome design/web front end-end/brand management skills for our amazing clients and their projects.
As a small, but very customer focused tech focused team with owners with design backgrounds, we know how design is often an almost impossible task of keeping a number of stakeholders happy while still delivering effective results.

The right fit for our team will help us by creating fast and effective designs while still keeping the big picture brand goals in mind. To be clear our clients are often unschooled in the various elements of design, so we have to plan the bigger picture for them and this will depend heavily on your.

For most of our clients you will control the brand (create style guides, etc.), build their Web FE for WordPress/Divi, Mobile, Print and Web FE for customer line of business apps based on Laravel. For these LOB apps you will design wireframes, and workflows that help ensure the client visually understands what will be delivered to them before any code is written. Please note: This last item is a specialty on its own in many ways and please ensure you tell us how you would handle this part in particular and what experience you have (include any visual examples also).

As a key part of small team, your ability to be a self-starter, work on your own without extra supervision is critical.
With a role that is so focused on visual communication, excellent English conversational skills are essential as well.
Our client needs will be more production focused with a good number of jobs/projects per week in addition to coordinating with those that will be leveraging your work for the client from backend developers and more.

You MUST have the following to apply:

1. Portfolio of work that includes several modern websites, branding packages and more
2. Clearly can demonstrate various styles and techniques in your work and ability to show your creative side.
3. Can tell us how you “saved” an almost failed project in someway
4. Be able to tell us what you do not know from our requirements and how you would be able to learn/grow in that area very quickly.
5. Will show us what you do to learn and grow your skills outside of work
6. Have a passion for what you do and use your skills outside of work for personal projects and the like
7. Be 100% full-time with no external projects or jobs outside of the work you do for us beyond personal hobbies.
8. Do you know at least a bit about the BE of web dev? The goal with this is not that you would be a developer, but that you would understand how best to ensure your work is easy for them to implement, etc.
9. Are you willing to have at least 4 hours of your time available during 8-5 Pacific Time Zone hours?
