Mid/Senior Web Developer

iClan Websites is a web building and hosting company, tailored towards internet video gamers. The hosting platform allows users to easily build their gaming community website with ease using the tools we provide. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a full time (maximum 50 hours per week) web developer (front + back end). We are looking for an sharp thinking, intelligent, quick learning and action taking developer with at least 3 years experience, who can come on board, learn the current code base and implement exciting new features to aid business growth. This is a long term contract for at least 1-2 years.

Technical skills required:

Perl/PHP (you will be coding in Perl mostly)
MySQL (InnoDB, MyISAM)
HTML, CSS
jQuery, AJAX, web sockets, restful APIs, JSON
Linux server administration, particular Apache, Ubuntu
Version control - Git

The job will involve:

Writing code (in Perl mostly, some PHP) to develop new features into existing product
Designing efficient MySQL databases that can handle high load
Testing, debugging and fixing problems as and when they arise
Optimisation of current code/setup for scalability
Communicating with senior staff to discuss plan of action
Assist customer support team with technical questions

If you don't have experience with Perl, so long as you have experience with PHP then this shouldn't be a problem, the languages are very similar.

Pay: 20,000 to 80,000 PHP per month depending on experience + 13th month Philippine holiday pay bonus. We are looking to hire ASAP, within the next 2 weeks if possible.

This position will require you to work up to 50 hours per week and you should have NO OTHER JOB.
