Front-end Web Developer

We are a unique and progressive web design company based in Australia that focuses not just on the technology but also the business aspects. Though the company is relatively young, the managing director has over a decade of professional experience in the web industry, a healthy number of client base, strong networks and a clear direction for the business.

We are looking for an innovative and passionate web designer with strong frontend UI/UX experience with HTML5 and CSS development skills to join our growing team. Your primary role is looking after the full web development cycle for our clients as well being involved with internal projects. You need to be creativity, great attention to detail, proactive and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Be the lead in all things creative and design
- Utilise WordPress themes and customise using child-theme to fit with requirements
- Utilise plugins and customise them where required
- Create visual advertising banners, logos, print media, infographics, and photo manipulation
- Participate in regular team meeting as well as client meetings via Skype (good internet connection, mic & webcam required)
- Proactive with your own KPI and goals
- Fill out daily timesheet to show progress and communicate with team


Required Experience:
- 3+ years experience
- Developed web applications with rich client interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, AJAX, and other DOM scripting techniques
- Design responsive websites from scratch with HTML5 cutup experience
- WordPress and Plugin customisation experience (eg, child-themes)
- LAMP stack experience essential with some experience in development framework (eg, Cake, CodeIgniter, Symfony or Zend)
- Strong understanding of UX and UI design
- Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC)

- Have a strong appreciation and understanding of end user experience
- You must be a team player – collaboration and strong communication is in your nature
- You should be comfortable working in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity as your teammates might be all over the world
- A strong eagerness to learn current and emerging web technologies and frameworks
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Creative, attention to detail, trustworthy, solution driven, goal focused, proactive and resourceful


Desirable Experience (Bonus):
- Worked for western digital agencies in the past (US, UK or AU)
- Experience in SEO, social media and online marketing
- Experience with eCommerce systems such as Magento or Shopify
- Experience with third party platform to assist with development such as Bootstrap, Parse (BaaS) & ?Github (Source Control)
