JOB OVERVIEW

The Shade is the largest home colour subscription brand in Australia.

We ship permanent, salon grade colour to our clients at their preferred shipping interval.

We offer a premium, healthier, better home colouring experience with complete colourist support to ensure that our clients can achieve great colour results at home.

We are looking for a client focused and energetic colourist to join our team to provide remote digital colourist advice and colour recommendations for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

A) Consulting clients and advising them for their home hair colouring needs


• Ensuring all clients are attended to while upholding The Shade’s brand and guidelines at all times
• Educate clients about the products services that are available at The Shade
• Provide recommendations for products to clients
• Assessing clients natural hair colour and hair colour goals and making recommendations which are achievable and in keeping with both the clients objectives and the colour products range and colour change guidelines
• Assisting clients to correct their colour and tone
• Recognise that there are clear guidelines and objective parameters as to what can be achieved with home colouring and ensuring that client expectations and that advice given is consistent with The Shade’s colour guidelines

B) General Customer Service (to be gradually introduced)

• Reply to customer‘s enquiries regarding their subscription, shipping, general enquiries etc. via email, FB Messenger and chat.

What are we looking for?

• Certificate 3 in hairdressing or the overseas equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience in hairdressing
• Profound knowledge of the colour wheel is vital
• Experience in digital provision of customer service/Zendesk preferred
• Experience with WooCommerce would be highly regarded.

Position: Part-time initially, increasing to full-time after probationary period.

Remote position, colouring advice and client support services provided using digital communication/Zendesk. No telephone communication is required.

Ability to understand and advise clients on best-suited hair colour/tones

Stay ahead of hairdressing trends and continually striving to grow
