JOB OVERVIEW

We are a small team of location-flexible entrepreneurs and marketers, and we help others learn faster and better in a world of information overwhelm. Our articles on learning have tens of millions of views on sites like Forbes, HBR, Business Insider, The Huffington Post, Inc., Entrepreneur.

We also have 200,000+ email subscribers, as well as thousands of happy customers for our online courses.

Specifically, we’ve been growing three profitable online courses with thousands of customers, and we’d love help on all things operations related, so that we can further scale our offers.

This is a part-time contractor role (Monday-Friday, during EST daytime, 15-20 hours/week). Apart from our unique learning culture, we also offer the following perks:

- Work from home (or anywhere you want): No more commuting!
- Access to experts: Learn from top entrepreneurs, marketers and other top experts who normally charge hundreds of dollars per hour
- $10,000+ worth of free courses: Our own courses, as well as other courses that normally cost you tens of thousands of dollars to purchase in total
- Flexible time off: We believe in work-life balance, and want you to be happy and productive at work.

As an operations assistant, here’s what your role would look like on a day-to-day basis:

- Marketing operations: Updating sales pages and landing pages, publishing articles, sending various marketing reports, troubleshooting/fixing bugs etc.
- Program operations: Uploading new/updating existing content to our online course Content Management System, sending class reminder emails to customers, managing our Facebook Groups etc.
- Customer operations: Troubleshoot technical customer issues via email and live text chat, collecting customer testimonials

This might be for you, if you check most if not all of these boxes:

- You take ownership. You proactively fix and improve things, and you seek honest feedback
- You love learning (after all, that’s what we teach - learning how to learn!)
- You love details and take pride in getting things done right (i.e. you’re the kind of person who loves a 49-point grocery checklist :-)
-You have experience with the following marketing tools, including but not limited to: Infusionsoft, Zapier, LeadPages, GoSpiffy, Teachable, Zoom, VWO
- You have excel-lent Excel skills
- You have experience managing online course Content Management Systems (CMS) and Facebook Groups
- You have basic HTML experience (this is a plus, but not necessary)
- You have customer service experience (this is a plus, but not necessary)

What Is The Seminal Team Like?

- We are deeply curious and passionate about learning, especially when it comes to understanding how ideas develop, spread through, and impact society. Rather than solely depending on gut instinct, we break down everything we do into its core components and use creativity, data-driven decision making, and testing to improve each part of the process.

- We champion quality over ---------- a world with information overload, we believe that the best long-term strategy for virality and deep relationships is focusing on quality. Externally, we work iteratively with our team, freelancers and collaborators to perfect each article before we publish ---------- ernally, we hire slow, so that we can invest in people we work with for the longer term.

- We believe in transparent communication: Because we work as a small team, and we work remotely across the world, we prefer to be as honest as possible with each other — while also being empathetic.

- We commit to work-life balance. We believe in getting things done, rather than working long (unnecessary) hours. We take breaks, have conversations, and celebrate our learnings.
