About us: Who we are: We are a group of fish and chippery restaurants - based in Melbourne, 'Here Fishy Fishy'. We are looking for 'virtual order takers' -through a virtual kiosk - we anticipate an assistant that can interact with customers as they enter our fish and chip shop via video link. Ie you will see the customer through a webcam, and they will see you. We would expect you to be presentable and to smile, be fluent in Australian English. As orders are taken, you would enter details onto our 'square' ordering platform. - Most likely through remote access using splashtop, to access the square terminals on our system. We would also expect you to take telephone orders (we would route phone orders through to you also, depending on how busy we were). We would anticipate that you communicate with the cooks/staff in the restaurant - so as to be able to communicate wait times We would hope that with time you would recognise the members of the public that participate in our restaurants- so to encourage patronage.
Beyond this, depending on skill set - outside the hours of service - there may be an ongoing undefined role as a virtual assistant to help with management of the business in general - for example - fielding phone calls on behalf of the company director - and following up on set tasks, helping set up
We would expect to interview any applicant over the phone, initially through voice and also through video call.
We would anticipate that you are abreast of current affairs in Australia, the economic issues facing australia (heat waves, flooding, corona virus), have a basic knowledge of the kinds of fish we serve, facilitate in customers choosing their meal, assist with maximising profits at the point of transaction (ie asking if the patient would like a drink, a beer - make an offer or recommendation).
From your end, you would require a reliable high speed broad band connection, a headset, a pc that is capable of web calls,
Initially we would be looking at a rate of $5 AUD per
A virtual kiosk with live web cam for the purposes of serving fish and chips in an Australian setting has yet to be trialled, but if this sounds interesting - please contact us.
