JOB OVERVIEW

Due to the high amount of applications without the below listed qualifications, we need to state even clearer that this position REQUIRES good knowledge of WordPress from a TECHNICAL standpoint. Simply having done some admin work in WordPress, or working with free themes/plugins is *not* enough.

We are a small web agency in Stockholm Sweden specialized in premium custom WordPress development and hosting/maintenance. Currently, we have 2 part-time developers and 1 full-time manager/developer. We are looking for a new "right hand" to the manager too free up more time for strategic/sales/client related work.

Your tasks would include direct communication with clients, receiving support tickets and new requests, and handling them accordingly. This could mean reviewing the request, determining what needs doing (from a development stand-point) and either assigning a developer or resolving the ticket yourself. Or maybe communicating with the client if further information is required, such as a design/mockup, or putting together a quick estimate if it's a new request not covered by their current service level.

Basically you would be the right hand to the manager, and handle most of the day-to-day tickets/requests that come in. Both developers and manager is of course available for training and assistance in all regards at all times, but this position does require quite a bit of autonomy.

Most of the requests/tickets received are small changes to existing web-sites, or support issues of a technical nature. 90% of the projects/sites are WordPress and custom built by us. We do not work with ready-made themes such as Divi, or plugins such as Visual Composer, these are black-listed here. We do real development, of custom themes/plugins, and we adhere to WP coding standard and best-practices, and we require proper knowledge of this.

This position will include both project management work (with clients and our team) as well as technical Upgrade to see actual info is a bonus if you can work as closely as possible to our business hours/timezone (GMT+1) but absolutely not a requirement.

Salary is to be negotiated depending on experience, we have just set a reasonable average in this posting. This will be further discussed with eligible candidates.

REQUIRED skills:
- Excellent written english
- GOOD technical WordPress knowledge
- Familiarity with development workflows using tools such as GIT and Trello

Nice to have skills (bonus, but not required):
- Familiarity with back-end architecture/infrastructure and hosting (such as Linux/nginx/mysql/apache etc)

This position could be arranged as either part-time (working 2-3 days a week) or full-time.
