Creative and Strategic Copywriter (Home-Based)

Callison is a fast-growing business VOIP company based out of New York City providing hosted PBX and Unified Communications. We are seeking a creative and strategic Copywriter to work with our team to assist in developing content and concepts for sales & marketing campaigns across various blogs and LinkedIn.

The optimal candidate should be self-driven, work well and accurately within tight deadlines, and capable of managing competing priorities all with an emphasis on producing copy that elevates our brand.

Requirements

Responsibilities
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
- Write a clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work to editors for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Promote content on social media
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
- Update website content as needed

Specific qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications or a related field;
- Excellent grammar, spelling, writing, proofreading, and version control skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles;
- 3-5 years of professional copywriting experience;
- Must be tech-savvy and up-to-date on general happenings in popular culture;
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information and learn new skills
- Must be focused, extremely detail-oriented and highly organized;
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and complete on-time is required;
- Computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint required;
- Must be a team player;
