This is to fill the position of FULL STACK WordPress Lead Developer. Your responsibility will be the management of all aspects pertaining to our online presence for two or more websites, which are built with:
WordPress + Elementor page builder + LearnDash LMS + BuddyBoss theme + MemberPress plugin + WooCommerce. Our server environment is LINODE with Nginx (taken care of by a server manager).
Ideally you have received training as a software engineer – or you are currently following this career path. This is because we highly value people that have been trained to thrive in a well-structured, concise and well-organized environment, which is required when it comes to planning and executing the responsibilities as a Lead Developer.
Beyond your interest in developing your expertise in WP Development, you must have a keen interest in online marketing or in business. This is because an important part of your tasks will involve the implementation of sales funnels on WordPress. For example, you would be working on:
Installation of Wordpress on server and take care of regular WP updating
installation of WP themes and carry out modifications on child theme
installation and regular updates of WP plugins, making sure quality control shows now bugs after updates
installation of shortcodes for custom functionality on pages
installation of hooks and tags for data tracking in online marketing software (
Installation of Landing Pages with Elementor (from scratch or with the help of templates)
CSS styling
installation of button functionality based on shortcodes for one-click course sales
adding sales funnel codes from
Working via SFTP
Knowledge of JavaScript and a Json a plus
Your work will be supervised by our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who will help you and answer your questions. CTO will also take care of training where required. I would like to mention that your personality is equally important to us as is your expertise related to WordPress development. We value honesty, curiosity, willingness to learn, good communication skills, team players.
There is a 3-month test period.
Working hours can be local PH time and in the beginning, you can work by the hour (ideally with a minimum of 5 to 10h per week available). We manage time of all VAs with a project time tracking system (Hrundl) and communication is handled through Basecamp. This combination allows us to offer work in different time zones where you are able to organize your work around your own schedule and at your own convenience. On occasion, we will ask you to be available for a portion of Canada-Montreal business hours for discussions, especially in the beginning, to answer questions and provide guidance.
Through time, you are expected to take on more responsibility and work more hours until becoming a full-time staff member. This offer is also suited for someone interested in taking it slow at the beginning, but with the clear desire to evolve towards a long-term position as Lead Developer as a career choice.
