Backend Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our tight knit team. You will be a key contributor to our SaaS product and will immediately have a significant role in driving our platform forward in core areas. You will be part of the expansion of our product, building highly performant and robust APIs and workflows.

## Key Responsibilities
* Improve and evolve our backend Java platform
* Manage and deploy platform updates
* Evolve our backend architecture for scalability and resiliency
* Create APIs for use by our frontend applications using JAX-RS
* Collaborate closely with the frontend team to implement platform initiatives
* Employ secure coding practices

## Desired Experience
* 2+ years experience working with Java and Java EE.
* Experience with JAX-RS, JPA, SQL
* Experience with PostgreSQL
* Experience working directly with databases using SQL
* Experience designing and evolving database schemas
* Experience with Wildfly application server
* Experience with unit testing and end to end automated testing in a continuous integration environment
* Experience using and developing REST and/or GraphQL based APIs
* Experienced using git and git hosting platforms for version control and code review
* Frontend experience with Angular 2+ a plus but not required
