Software Tester with a degree in Accountancy (2712) Pasay

The Accounting Software Tester will focus on testing and supporting the clients' internal software, help revolutionize financial performance, and help accountants and their clients dramatically improve organizational and financial performance. The client empowers accountants to be the trusted advisor for their own stakeholders through the provision of coaching, content and technology by providing the tools, resources, accountability and support that gives accountants the power to step up and take their place as the natural trusted business advisers.

Key Delivery Areas:
• Testing
• Systematically test all aspects of the software in accordance with a rolling test schedule
• Document findings and test bug fixes
• Test enhancements and other changes made as part of ongoing development of the software
• Work with the team on developing test methodologies and documentation to be effective
• Case Management
• Oversee all cases and monitor to ensure prompt turnaround is being achieved
• Track suggestions for enhancements and feeding into the development process
• Write solutions in respect of bugs and other user queries
• Demo Data Management
• Update monthly data required for demo firms and clients in the production database
• Build demo data as requested by the Sales Team
• Other tasks as needed
• Participate in any meetings as requested about software development, testing, user feedback, and related topics.
• Assist other Manila-based team members on a day-to-day basis with any questions regarding software.
• Keep an eye on what other software companies are doing and make suggestions on potential changes.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in software testing and helpdesk
• Experience in testing accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB AccountRight or Intuit QuickBooks is an advantage
• Intermediate skills in Excel
• Strong English comprehension, verbal, and written skills
• Solid grasp of accounting principles and their practical application
• Attention to detail, able to think logically and laterally to solve problems
• Able to work anonymously or as part of the team
• Positive, persistent attitude
• A degree in Accountancy is required.
• Willing to work at Mall of Asia Complex on mid-shift schedule (1-10PM)
