JOB OVERVIEW

A client is a seeking a savvy internet VA to add to their team. This person will need to be able to operate independently for weeks at a time, and conduct daily tasks as set out.

This opportunity is extremely unique!

Our client is looking to setup a blog, have it professionally managed, each blog post edited, proofed and posted with nice layouts, insert images etc. The author will submit posts either by scanned handwritten letters. They will more than likely probably NOT be emailed in due to our clients location. As they have mail access only.

New hire will become the managing editor for the writers BLOG and E-Books. Editor will have to have ebooks transcribed, edited, and graphically laid out then submitted to designed ebook accounts on amazon etc.

As the Managing Editor of client, they will be responsible for the overall quality of published material, and for the supervision and direction of the activities of support staff.

Also they will coordinate publication efforts through the editing, writing and producing of manuals, manuscripts, journals and related materials.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Manage all day-to-day activities involved with the website including, but not limited to:

1. Growing subscribers and expanding the overall reach and readership of clients site.
2. Identifying, vetting, hiring and managing authority contributors.
3. Providing feedback to other contributors, and editing other writers’ content.
4. Production of products associated with your website, both free and paid, including weekly e-newsletters and special reports.
5. Writing and/or editing email copy for content and promotional email broadcasts and follow up sequences.
6. Segmenting contact lists and personalizing emails based on recipients' interests and needs.
7. Scheduling and sending of all email broadcasts to all Asitemailing lists.
8. Tasking staff, including video production and social media as necessary with their daily duties to produce content for the site.
9. Have final approval over ALL content, including SEO articles which are used on the website or any social media channel.

10. Hiring and firing of staff writers as well as social and community managers and other subordinate staff members.

Personal Characteristics Required:

A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our company’s mission.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.

An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics.

Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.

Ability to prioritize and make decisions based on strategic goals.
