Data Entry and Research Person

We have undertaken a new business that requires the need for a data entry and research specialist with a keen eye for detail. In short, the data input not only needs to be absolutely correct (and this is a key performance indicator) but will also involve re-checking days or weeks later to ensure the scheduled event has not been changed by the Organisers of that event (the ability to keep the information current is also a key performance indicator for this role).

Essentially we are taking data off of the internet that relate to key events such as sport, cultural, public holidays, school holidays, university holidays in Australia. Australia is our initial target market with a move to the international market to follow the market testing in Australia.

The type of events that are required to be found and input into the data administration screen of the software being utilised ranges from individual major events right through to a sporting fixture that goes over several months and involving several games per week.

The process of entry and the rules surrounding that entry are very precise and training will be provided to ensure a good understanding of the processes (via online, telephone and other means to ensure of your capability). In fact, a feature of this role is to create a rules and processes document that details the requirement for entry. A step by step process guide and detail of the particular rules of data entry will be produced as part of this role.

In order to find the right person for this job, it is intended that we will engage someone on an hourly basis to begin with and by setting a data entry test to ensure we are satisfied with the caliber of the individual.

The data entered is presented to those people who download our app - myeventsorganiser.com.au is where there is some further information or download the app from the itunes or google store. We are a new start up and have done some market testing in Australia already and our investors have given the business the green light. Hence we are very young and keen to establish a long term relationship with the right person. As a result you will need to be proficient with the internet and have access speeds suitable for the tasks.

Whilst we would prefer someone with previous similar job experience, we are open to finding the right person!

Your work would be flexible albeit within some time pressures depending on when information on events are made public throughout the course of the year.
