JOB OVERVIEW

Description

We're looking for a Server Administrator with experience in both Windows and Linux servers. This position will handle server OS and application installations, upgrades, and maintenance for our clients and for our in-house network. The job is full-time (about 40 hours/week), and you'll need to document your hours and tasks completed during those hours to be turned in weekly so that progress can be tracked. You'll have regular communication with your project manager by email, Skype, Slack, and our in-house ticketing system.

We're located in Arizona (MST), so you'll be 15 hours ahead of us year-round. Most of the work that you do will be flexible time-wise and doesn't need to be done during our business hours, but we will need to occasionally work with you during our day time (which is between midnight and 8am for you).

Responsibilities

- Installing and configuring new Windows and Linux servers.
- Upgrading server applications, performing server maintenance.
- Acquiring new skills that match our needs (we can direct you in this area).

Skills And Qualifications

- Flexible hours. Most of the work that you do will be done after business hours for us, so this would be normal day-time hours for you.
- Excellent Windows Server skills, intermediate to excellent Linux skills.
- Building Domain Controllers and Active Directory setups, include AD upgrades and transitions.
- Experience with MS Exchange.
- Virtual Environment proficiency (i.e. Proxmox, KVM, VMWare).
- Experience with a wide range of server applications (i.e. Active Directory, VoIP, Web, Email, Samba, distributed file systems, database installations, etc).
- Good written and spoken English.

Your daily work would normally consist of your supervisor providing a list of tasks to be worked on and completed, as well as recurring tasks such as updating and maintaining existing servers. The work will be completed remotely via web, SSH, RDP, VNC, AnyDesk, and other remote access protocols. You'll spend a lot of time working on production servers, so you'll need to be confident in your abilities and make sure that you don't make changes that prevent proper functionality of our equipment or our client's equipment which might cause outages or emergency situations for us to deal with.

Please include your resume with your inquiry.
