Blog Content Writer

Firestone Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a part-time blog content writer to author original content for our company website. To allow our leadership team to focus on growing the firm and acquiring new clients we need a virtual assistant to take their ideas and research, craft and post engaging content to our website. This individual should be highly motivated, creative, a self-starter and have a keen eye for detail. As a blog content writer, this individual should have strong writing skills including the ability to proofread and edit for spelling and grammar their work as well as the work of others. Posts will be published to our company’s website so an understanding of Wordpress is a must.

We would like to start with a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per month), if we can show growth and success we’d like to move to a full-time ---------- is important for us to find the right individual that will be part of our team and share the same values for helping our clients succeed at the same time growing our business. Below is a list of the required skills and responsibilities for this position:
• Write, edit, publish and promote online content.
• Strong attention to detail (as a professional firm we must have proper spelling and grammar in all posts)
• Strong research ability (industry trends, fact-checking, reliable sources, trustworthy experts, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience of optimizing blog posts for search engine optimization.
• Ability to proofread and edit content from others
• Can take direction and “roll with the punches”
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexible work hours so that time zones match up (remember we are in the US)

Additional skills that are a plus:
• Technical writing experience
• SEO optimization for posts and online content
• References for other blog content writing engagements
